INTER-AMERICAN FOUNDATION (IAF), GRASSROOTS DEVELOPMENT FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM


Deadline   1/22/2013 
Description   UP to 15 fellowships for dissertation research in independent countries in Latin America or the Caribbean (except for Cuba, Puerto Rico, or the Dutch, French and British territories) on topics related to grassroots development. Awards support four to 12 months of research. 
Award Amount   Stipend of $1,500 per month for period between 4 to 12 months, plus a research allowance of up to $3,000, international roundtrip transportation to research site, health insurance and attendance at a mandatory mid-year conference.

Requirements   Applicants must be enrolled in a U.S. university, be advanced to candidacy before initiating research, and speak and read the language(s) appropriate to the research proposal.
