BOSTON COLLEGE, AFRICAN AND AFRICAN DIASPORA STUDIES PROGRAM (AADS) DISSERTATION FELLOWSHIP


Deadline   2/8/2013 
Description   One award offered for dissertation research on any topic within African and/or African Diaspora studies. The successful applicant will have full access to Boston College’s seven libraries as well as several rare books and manuscripts collections. Awards support one year of research. 
Award Amount   Stipend of $30,060 plus health insurance and a $1,500 research budget. 
Disciplines   Humanities. Social Sciences.  
Academic Level   Working on Doctoral Dissertation.  
Citizenship   No citizenship requirements.  
Requirements   Applicants must complete all requirements for the PhD, aside from the dissertation, by the start of the fellowship year. The fellow must remain in residence for the 9-month academic year, deliver one public lecture, and teach one seminar course. Applications from women, individuals with disabilities, and covered veteran are strongly encouraged.
