INSTITUTE OF INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION (IIE), WHITAKER INTERNATIONAL FELLOWS AND SCHOLARS PROGRAM
Deadline   1/21/2013 
Description   Approximately 50 grants for projects in biomedical engineering or bioengineering overseas. Awards will typically be one academic year in length. 
Award Amount   Competitive stipends and benefits offered to all fellows. 
Disciplines   School of Engineering. Biomedical engineering or bioengineering. Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with substantive interest and background in Biomedicine. 
Academic Level   Prospective/Current Graduate Student. Postdoctoral Scholar.  
Citizenship   Open only to U.S. citizens or permanent residents.  
Requirements   Fellows: Must be either a graduating senior, recent recipient of a BS, in an MS program or recently completed one, in a PhD program, or currently employed with most recent degree no higher than an MS. Scholars: Must have completed PhD or will finish PhD before taking a Whitaker grant.
