UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN NATIONAL CENTER FOR INSTITUTIONAL DIVERSITY (NCID) POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM


Deadline   11/1/2012 
Description   Two postdoctoral fellowships annually. Each award is for a 12-month period, generally beginning September 1. Start dates may be negotiable at the discretion of NCID’s Director. Applications are welcomed from scholars with interests that reflect the NCID strategic agenda, including: (a) innovative scholarship, research, or creative work on some aspect of diversity in the broadest sense; (b) bridging interdisciplinary scholarship with innovation to address challenges and opportunities of diversity; and (c) building partnerships among scholars and policy-relevant leaders engaged in social change activities at campus/institutional, local/state, or national/global levels. We are particularly interested in candidates whose interests in diversity issues cross disciplinary boundaries in core NCID priority and subpriority areas: Scholarship, Education, and Innovation; Science, Health, and Pipeline Development; Organizations, Urban and Economic Development; Public Policy, Culture and Social Change. 
Award Amount   Salary of $50,000 and health insurance 
Disciplines   Open to all fields.  
Academic Level   Postdoctoral Scholar.  
Citizenship   No citizenship requirements.  
Requirements   Applicants must hold or receive a Ph.D. from an accredited university prior to the start date of the fellowship. Applicants should expect to have earned their Ph.D. degree by July 30th of the year for which they are applying.
