| Description | This program provides opportunities for foreign scientists to receive research training experience at the National Institutes of Health. Awards are for one to two years, renewable for up to five years. | |
| Award Amount | The stipend level is determined by the number of years of relevant postdoctoral research experience. | |

| Academic Level | Postdoctoral Scholar. | |
| Citizenship | No citizenship requirements. However, U.S. citizens and permanent residents are not eligible. | |
| Requirements | Must have doctoral degree or equivalent in the health sciences and not more than five years of relevant postdoctoral research experience. Foreign nationals must have visas that permit training or employment in the U.S. Must be proficient in spoken and written English. | |
