Additional research programs available at UCLA during the summer.

arrow Honors Programs Summer Research Stipends
Honors Programs offer several research stipends to enable UCLA honor students to carry out scholarly research projects full-time under the tutelage of professor of their choice during the summer.
arrow IPAM Research in Industrial Projects for Students (RIPS)
The Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics (IPAM) at UCLA sponsors the Research in Industrial Projects for Students (RIPS). The goal of RIPS is to expose undergraduate students to an industrial research project that requires the application of mathematical principles to solve real-world problems. Each student team is guided by a faculty and an industrial mentor who provide guidance with methods and data analysis as well as preparation of reports and team presentations of findings. Industrial sponsors represent high-tech industries, national laboratories, and nonprofit organizations.
arrow UCLA McNair Summer Research Institute
During the summer portion of the two-year UCLA McNair Research Scholars Program, current UCLA undergraduates participate in the Institute, which includes faculty-supervised research training, graduate student mentoring, and intensive workshops on gaining admission to, and success in, graduate school.
