RSVP and Attendance

An invitation with an RSVP link was sent to all UCLA Faculty on April 16, 2013. If you need to RSVP and no longer have access to that faculty-specific link, please contact Sonya Gavin, Director of Operations and External Relations at sgavin@grad.ucla.edu.

Faculty will be seated on stage and the guests of faculty will be seated in the auditorium in a pre-designated reserved section. Faculty guest tickets will be mailed to your campus address through June 6, 2013. Thereafter, they will be held at the Graduate Division office (1237 Murphy Hall) for pick-up.

Once the hooding ceremony commences, chairs, co-chairs and members of a dissertation committee should plan to stand when the candidate(s) crosses the stage to be hooded. This will be announced at the beginning of the ceremony.

Regalia

Regalia from other universities (not UCLA) must be ordered by Friday, April 6th for guaranteed delivery. Thereafter, only UCLA regalia (blue and gold) will be available to order once the April 6th deadline has passed. Orders will be accepted up until commencement weekend.

To place your order, please complete the Graduation, Etc. order form and fax it to x52794. The Graduate Division DOES NOT order academic regalia. Faculty deliveries will begin May 29, 2013 and continue thru Commencement weekend, as later orders are received.

It has a tendency to get very warm on stage, so please wear lightweight clothing underneath your regalia.

Official Party

If you are a member of academic leadership or a hooding, reading or faculty processional marshal, you will receive separate, specific instructions from the Graduate Division.
